The hubby had a work trip last week to Vegas and I got to go along just to relax and have fun! It was a fun little trip with a bunch of great people. The only BUMMER part of the trip is that we were supposed to make it there for a wedding and reception on the first night and our flight was delayed so we missed everything! UGH! BUT, we did get to still see the bride & groom that night and more throughout the trip. So, it ended up okay despite that disappointment.
Here was most of us hanging out after our flight was delayed 🙂 #stillfun
So, I thought a favorite thing in Vegas post would be fun for this week.
Our ride at the airport! I wish I had grabbed his card ‘cuz I would totally share it right now for anyone who’s looking for a HUGE and fun limo ride in Vegas the next time you’re there! I think he said it seats like 30 people!
First off, I do like to gamble a little. And, since I love Britney Spears, I just had to try out this machine. It was loud and blingy and fun lol 🙂
Yeah, that’s $5.00 not $500. I was pretty excited at first.
This was better but I ended up losing it lol. I shoulda walked away but I did play this machine for like 2 hours, so… 😉
One of my favorite things that we did was zipline over Freemont Street in downtown Vegas! I tried to get a pic of the ziplines but you have to look really hard to see them in this pic. And, the next pic is me in the hardness ready for the gate to open! (Yes, I had flipflops on that day so I had to go barefoot so I didn’t drop them on someone’s head below lol ~ and look at my feet from the walk up to the top! ick)Â For this girl who’s seriously afraid of heights, it was a big step but SO FUN! I wanted to turn around and do it again!
We got free tickets to do the High Roller but we ended up not making it there. Most of the others in our group did. I had done it the last time I was in Vegas for work and it was so cool! I definitely recommend! We did it at night and I still wanna go during the day sometime! You can see it from all over in Vegas but it’s by the Linq 🙂
My favorite breakfast was at Margaritaville! I had the Key West omelet. Seafood in an omelet? I wasn’t sure either but I definitely recommend it if you’re ever there for breakfast! It paired very well with a spicy bloody mary!
And, I don’t get to have Starbucks very often! So, I enjoyed one every day 😉 This was pretty sweet but NUMMY! I love that so many hotels just have Starbucks in them these days. Makes my travelling life SO much less complicated. And, get this, it was cheaper to do Starbucks than buy K-Cups for the Keurig in our room! #thanksCaesars 😉 (p.s. Did you know Starbucks has an app and you can place your order in advance?!? Again, makes life so much less complicated!)
If you know or have followed me for a while, you KNOW on any given trip where the weather is even halfway decent and there’s a pool….I’m gonna be by the pool. I honestly could’ve spent the whole time here had we had more sun! I’m not sure I loved this particular pool at Vegas because we still didn’t have sun after 1 p.m. My idea of going somewhere sunny is to actually soak in the vitamin D! Maybe the other pools there are better all day but they were closed.
The noodles and service here were ah-mazing! I’m not positive if it’s a chain or not but there’s one inside Caesar’s if you’re ever in there and craving noodles.
CHS had an awesome private event booked for us at Drais Beach & Night Club. Part of the club is out in the open and has pools and cabanas and then the other is all dance floor and seating. We’re never much for the night club scene but since this was all for the conference, it was perfect for us! Several of us thought we were 21 again however 😉 I won’t mention any names but…..#imayhavebeenoneofthem
The next day I happened to read some of the reviews online and a few people said it was like the worst night club experience they ever had and that the staff was rude. We all thought the staff was wonderful!! And, service was great! So, it’s a recommend for me 🙂
AND, last but CERTAINLY not least…..THE CUPCAKE ATM! I was lost in Pinterest one night when I came across a pic that looks like the middle one below and I was immediately like, IS THIS A THING?!? IS THIS FOR REAL?? So, I posted on Facebook about it and had several comments that it WAS in fact legit and that there was one in Vegas! I actually found it by accident our first night there! If you’re ever looking, of course use Google maps or something easier BUT it’s by the Linq ~ just down from the HighRoller and right by In&Out Burger lol! It was amazing!
I knew after that I could leave Vegas a happy girl. Not sure Daryn was quite as excited about it as me. #guysjustdontunderstand
If you were there with us and reading this, THANK YOU for one of the best trips to Vegas ever!
