So, this was the order of my Sunday.
A little time with Jesus doing my devotion when I woke up.
A little coffee.
More time with Jesus at church and a wonderful message on second chances.
A little more coffee.
And, when we got home, a LONG nap that was intended to be a short nap lol.
My sister even got me a super cute shirt that says this. Yes, she gets me.
I didn’t feel great from the time I woke up until the time we got home. So, I talked B into being quiet for an hour. Let’s just say she was quiet for like 2-1/2 hours!! (Ok, I know she’s only 6 but before you freak out, please know that her dad was around the whole time. I just wanted her to leave ME alone for a nap lol.) Ha, but I woke up feeling so much better and knocked out the hardest workout so far in my program! I’m so over this cold that I had and then got better and then got again.
Then on to try my hand at a Blue Apron meal of salmon and rice.
Here’s the picture from the package 🙂
And, I didn’t get a full presentation pic but I did snap one of the salmon.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I often talk about the “presentation” of my cooking.
The good news is it almost always tastes good ha!
(I’m in serious need of a new pan! And, I actually wanted to grill it but it was supposed to get flavor from the other prep work. I’m basically saying I’m not sure this was my fault ha! And, once I peeled all that nasty skin off, it was delish!)
Anyhoo, I won’t be advancing in any Top Chef challenges but it really did taste good and I LOVE salmon!!
Onto the tree and our Sunday evening! B had been begging me all day to get going on it so we enjoyed the rest of the night doing a couple book reports and decorating the tree 🙂 I’m also a tad obsessed when it comes to decorating so I normally spend hours doing this tree. But, she helped me knock it out and I held myself back from moving any of the ornaments she put on around! I love this time of year and if I didn’t have to stick to a budget, look out Hobby Lobby, Target, Peir 1 and Kohls for everything Christmas!
AND, then, a super disappointing Bronco game that went into OT and that they let slip away. Dang. But, good thing I got that nap in early to stay up for it!
And, now to just keeping planning HOW I can keep my nutrition in check for this holiday season!!
