So, the Summer of 2015 called this week to remind me of how fit I was and how good I felt.
I was in the best shape of my life. I was not turning to food for comfort. I was just in a groove.
Something happened at some point that summer and it’s hard to look back on but I haven’t had a consistent GROOVE since.
I’ve had a lot of successes and am still very proud of my progress, especially on the inside.
But, the plain and simple truth is that I’m struggling with the outside.
Struggling to find my groove again.
I feel like I keep taking 2 steps forward and 1 step…yes, not 3…back.
So, for today’s Fit Friday post, I wanted to talk about finding your fight again.
The truth is, I really need to find my fight right now. In so many ways.
I’ve tried this and tried that and dabbled in this and dabbled in that….not fully committing to any one thing.
My plan was to go back to my weights this week. But, then I didn’t feel good….and I don’t know…I just wasn’t EXCITED about it for some reason. Who knows why and sometimes there isn’t an answer. Sometimes you just have to be patient and LISTEN. I’ve been trying to listen really hard.
And, while I’m not naive enough to know life is NOT all about fitness, fitness is an outlet for me. It’s become a way of life. And, it’s seen me through a lot.
So, after seeing some emotional videos from coaches in the test group of a new program releasing in 10 days, I decided to change my course again.
I’m going to be doing something called Core De Force starting as soon as I can get my hands on the workouts.
It’s from our newest trainers and it’s all martial arts.
It’s all about finding your fight. And, as the coaches in the videos talked about….not just fighting the external….but finding your inner fighter.
This is me today. And, while I can look at several extra pounds in this picture compared to last, that’s not all I see.
I see someone who for the past several years isn’t afraid to take chances.
I see someone who falls for sure….but gets back up.
I see someone who wants to fight.
Do you wanna fight with me?!? hehe But seriously, if you’re interested in learning more about this program, fill out the app below to be added to our teams informational Facebook page AND to be entered to win a $25 Scheels card!
I mean, check out these success stories! And, I’ve seen and heard first-hand of many more.
I’m not gonna stop my Country Heat workouts BUT I’m excited to do this.
I still have a lot of goals to accomplish and I learn more about myself every day! Country Heat got me excited again and I really think this program, WHILE I focus really really hard on my nutrition, is gonna be a game changer for me AND help me through the holiday season. I don’t know about you, but the holidays can wreak serious havoc with me but the past few years, I’ve done really well and I’m determined to keep that my story this year! And, nothing like a new fitness routine to do just that! Stay tuned!
And, here’s your randomness for the day. It was pajama day at daycare today. She was super excited…especially since this is our backup daycare and she doesn’t get to see all these kids very often….UNTIL I tried to talk her into wearing pigtails. Bad decision mom. I kinda wrecked her mojo. Needless to say she took them out before we left the house and she did recover. #imtoocoolforpigtailsmom #momwishesitwaspajamaday #andidtotallywearpigtails #dreamincolor
